My studio is located in the picturesque countryside of New Ringgold, Schuylkill County.  I’m located 20 minutes north of Hamburg or 45 minutes  from Reading and Allentown.

My students range in age from 5 to 65 and cover all levels! I have a progressive style of teaching.  Based on student interest, I’ll cover improvisation  and composition as well as reading music and technique.  Students have the option to work at the music lab where they can use interactive software to strengthen skills in ear training, theory and composition.

Weekly lessons can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes in duration.  Students are encouraged to perform in an annual recital.

My bio:

I graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Education and a BA in Music from Kutztown University.  I’m a cellist with the Schuylkill Symphony Orchestra, The Schuylkill Chorus Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Choral Arts Society of Upper Perkiomen Valley.

As a freelance musician I play all styles of music with various ensembles.  I have an ensemble that plays weddings, and a Celtic Trio called Celtic Sunrise.

I’ve worked with a number of local singer/songwriters to arrange cello parts and record on their CD’s.

I’ve appeared in several school presentations, including the Gabriel Ensemble’s “Chamber Music for Children” of which I am a co-author.  I’ve performed with the Reading Symphony’s “Music in the Schools” program, as well as Kutztown University Orchestra and Chorus Orchestra.

I’m also a member of the American String Teacher’s Association and The New Directions Cello Association.

I’m currently studying with David Bakamjian.  Previous teachers include Simon Maurer, Debra Davis and Marie-Aline Cadieux.
